BTA Students of the Month

The Brocton Teachers’ Association is pleased to announce the Students of the Month for June.

Senior Adam M. Brown is the son of Paul and Melissa Brown of Portland. Adam has been a member of the football, golf and power lifting teams. Along with sports, he has been a member of the National Honor Society, Rotary Student of the Month for September, consistently on high honor roll and a member of the NYS High School Football All Academic team. Outside of school, Adam enjoys archery, hunting, wrestling and walking/running. In September Adam plans to attend Baldwin Wallace majoring in exercise science.

 

 

Sixth grader Devin Walter is the son of Doug and Nicole Walter of Portland. Devin is involved in the middle school band, chorus and honor roll. Outside of the school day, he is kept active with the Brocton midget football team, Little League, after school basketball program, participator in the 5th and 6th grade basketball tournament, and an active member of the Portland Congregational Church. In his leisure time, Devin enjoys playing and watching all sports (especially the NY Mets and NY Jets), riding bikes and being with friends and family.

"The Road from Seneca Falls" is sometimes dusty, sometimes flooded and many times jammed with traffic. It's the well-worn road of women's history, their journeys from the 17th century onward chronicled on a new Web resource for teachers and students.
