BTA Students of the Month

The Brocton Teachers’ Association is pleased to announce the Students of the Month for March.

Junior Meghann Nielsen, the daughter of Robin Nielsen-Brown of Dunkirk is the high school Student of the Month. Meghann is a member of the volleyball team, treasurer for the Spanish club, Vice-President for Student Council, National Honor Society member, assistant editor for THE BROCTON REVIEW, Yearbook staff, Stage Crew for school musicals, Chorus member along with All-County for June '07 and February '08. In addition to all Meghann’s activities, she is always on the high honor roll and has been since the 6th grade. Meghann’s favorite classes are Advanced Spanish and US History. She is a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church of Dunkirk and enjoys traveling and reading.

 

Our middle school representative is seventh grader John Nickerson, son of John and Dawn Nickerson of Brocton. John is a chorus member and also on the high honor roll. As a seventh grader, John made Brocton’s bowling team this year. Outside of school, John is in a bowling league, enjoys hunting, playing video games, watching NASCAR, riding bikes and loves to draw.

"The Road from Seneca Falls" is sometimes dusty, sometimes flooded and many times jammed with traffic. It's the well-worn road of women's history, their journeys from the 17th century onward chronicled on a new Web resource for teachers and students.
